Origin as a differentiation attribute: a tool for exporters and development

In connection with this, companies and local governments can achieve together specific differentiation of its products and improve their communities through the geographical identification (IG) and/or certified origin designation (DOC). These two tools allow an unsurpassable "quality differentiation" in the international market for the products produced in a country, as they have national and international legal protection.
