If we talk about the world of wine, we can not say that the world is a small place. Once located the most important wine producing countries such as France, Germany, USA, Chile, Argentina or New Zealand, we get surprised when we find a Romanian wine.
Yes!!! Rumania!!!!. Common and strange, we can find different grape types: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot or Feteasca or Tamaioasa Romaneasca.
Despite of the fact the first grapes were discovered 40 centuries BC, they are still not identified as a wine producer country. Similar to Bordeaux in France, this Romania has the same template climate but their grapes are more concentrated.
Close your eyes, get relaxed….pick a glass of wine….Feteasca neagra, soft aromas of cherries and plums, leather, wood, 18 months of aging in romanian oak barrels, a special taste of raisins and nice tannins. 17° the perfect temperature…..
Tamaioasa Romaneasca, special aroma that reminds of honey, flowers and peach, intense tastes, moderated sweetness, soft acidity and an almond end. Coooooool at 8° for serving. Surprising, fresh, easy to drink…….
